Texas Tech Physicians Names Clinic in Mittemeyer's Honor
Texas Tech Physicians of Lubbock recently announced the naming of the Dr. Bernhard T. Mittemeyer Urology Clinic at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). Mittemeyer, M.D., is a professor in the Department of Urology at the TTUHSC School of Medicine.
Mittemeyer previously served the institution in several positions, most recently as interim president of the TTUHSC. Prior to that, he served as the interim dean of the School of Medicine and as executive vice president and provost.
Before coming to Texas Tech in 1986, Mittemeyer served 28 years in the United States Army, rising to the rank of lieutenant general and retiring in 1985 as Army surgeon general, the highest position open to Army physicians.
The Dr. Bernhard T. Mittemeyer Urology Clinic has more than 9,000 square feet and houses 15 exam rooms and four procedure rooms.
