Dr. Magdalena Karbowniczek, Professor in the Department of Immunotheapeutics and Biotechnology in Abilene, and her team’s recent publication, “Exosomes mediate the acquisition of the disease phenotypes by cells with normal genome in tuberous sclerosis complex." Dr. Karbowniczek’s laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms behind a rare disease tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), which is caused by the inactivating mutations in tumor suppressor genes TSC1 and TSC2. Dr. La-Beck

Dr. Irene La-Beck was invited to give a seminar at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on September 28, 2017.

 

Dr. Wood

Dr. Laurence Wood was invited internally to speak at the TTUHSC School of Medicine in Lubbock on "The ISG15 Pathways in Immunity and Cancer."

 

 

Dr. SrivastavaDr. Sanjay Srivastava delivered a Plenary Talk and was the Session chair at First International Conference on Clinical Trials and Innovative Therapeutics in Cape Town, South Africa on July 2017. He is also invited as a plenary speaker at the CPCPT in Kayseri, Turkey on November 8, 2017.

 

Dr. Markiewski Dr. Maciej Markiewski was invited to speak at the 10th International Conference on Complement Therapeutics, Aegean Conference in Heraklion, Crete, Greece on June 2017.
