recepción del Presidente en español

Dear Friends of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center,

We are pleased and honored that you have visited our web site and hope that you will visit one of the many campuses of our six schools, all of which have multiple regional campuses, to serve our students and the people of Texas and the borderlands. Our Schools of Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Graduate Biomedical Sciences, and our Medical Schools in El Paso and Lubbock are distinctly privileged to have the opportunity to serve our many constituencies. We conduct research that contributes to the body of knowledge about preserving wellness and treating disease, ranging across a wide spectrum from cancer, to heart disease, to aging and well beyond. We provide clinical services to over one million people a year from Texas and adjoining areas. We provide training for clinicians and scientists in every one of our schools, to serve Texans and people all over the world.

I hope that you will explore this site, that you will visit us in any one of our campuses. Please contact me or anyone else in this wonderfully active and complex organization, to share your perspectives about our missions, our aspirations, and the effectiveness of our teaching, research, and patient service efforts. Come to visit us in El Paso/Juarez, Lubbock, Abilene, Amarillo, Midland, Odessa, Permian Basin, or Dallas. El Paso, long a part of the TTUHSC family, is now emerging as a major, research-intensive flagship medical school on the border, but every one of our campuses is vibrant and focused on the discovery of knowledge. We are proud to welcome you and show you what we are doing to advance the state of knowledge in the health sciences, to care for patients, and to transform the lives of our many students of many ages and backgrounds, who have chosen careers to serve others.

Thank you for your interest in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Welcome.

John C. Baldwin, M.D.
President
