About the Office
The mission of the Office of Academic Affairs is to provide leadership and service to students and faculty in their roles as members of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center's community. The Vice President for Academic Affairs supervises the activities of student services/affairs, registrar, financial aid, library, classroom support and institutional planning and assessment. The office promotes and ensures academic quality at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and encourages the efficient use of resources to achieve that end. It does so by developing and administering programs, policies and procedures relative to academic affairs that advance the academic missions of the institution.

TTUHSC is a component of the Texas Tech University System. The President of TTUHSC reports to the Chancellor, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the System. The Chancellor and the President are responsible to the Texas Tech University Board of Regents, which sets overall policy for the Texas Tech University System, Texas Tech University, and TTUHSC.
