HealthMATCH

The purpose of HealthMATCH is to provide rural communities and medical residents and health professions students at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center a forum to interact and discuss practice opportunities.

HealthMATCH is hosted annually by the West Texas AHEC Program and its regional centers, with events held on each of the four Health Sciences Center campuses in Amarillo, El Paso, Lubbock, and Midland–Odessa.

HealthMATCH Lubbock was held on November 7, 2006 with 16 rural communities from across West Texas participating. HealthMATCH was held in Midland in June 2007 at the TTUHSC Physician Assistant Program on the Midland College Campus.

Panhandle AHEC hosted a successful HealthMATCH event forTTUHSC medical residents and students in Amarillo. Twelve rural communities from across West Texas participated in the event.

The next HealthMATCH event is scheduled for the Lubbock Campus on October 30, 2007.
