Welcome to Rural Health
Congratulations on being awarded the Texas Tech Rural Health Education
Scholarship! We are glad that you have chosen Texas Tech and chosen to
focus on a health career in a rural setting.
The staff in the TTUHSC Office of Rural and Community Health look forward to
getting to know you better through this next year. Please feel free to call
our office at (806) 743-1338 or come by. We are in Room 2B440 on the Lubbock
HSC campus. Your primary contact will be Loni Marie Flores, Coordinator of
Community Programs.
We are excited to be able to partner with you through your education, by providing
scholarship assistance as well as opportunities to expand your rural-based experience.
Texas Tech students who have received the Rural Health Education Scholarship are
responsible to maintain a certain level of academic performance, as well as participate
in rural-focused education and service activities. The purpose for these activities is
to foster specific professional development for students who are pursuing a rural career.
