Speech-Language Pathology
Prerequisites
There are three ways in which you may begin work on the master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology:
- Complete the two-year, undergraduate SLHS program and earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences. Then apply to the graduate program at TTUHSC or any other graduate program in the nation. OR
- Apply and be accepted to the TTUHSC graduate program. Out-of-field students accepted for graduate study must meet with the program director (806-743-5678) to establish an individualized leveling plan, which may consist of up to two semesters of leveling courses. If the leveling work is completed with a GPA of 3.0, the student then begins graduate coursework. OR
- Enroll in leveling courses as a non-degree seeking student. This option is appropriate for students who do not meet all the requirements for graduate school at the time of application (e.g., lacking GRE scores). Enrollment in courses as a non-degree seeking student does not guarantee that the student will be accepted for graduate study; the student must apply for the graduate program after completing the first semester of leveling coursework. Non- degree seeking students must meet with the program director to establish an individualized leveling plan, which may consist of up to two semesters of leveling courses.
