Simulation: A Strategy for Learning and Assessment

Overview: This interactive workshop will explore how various learning theories influence the pedagogy of simulation. Strategies and guidelines will be provided for integrating simulation-based experiences (formative, summative, and high stakes) into curricula. Best practice guidelines and The NLN Jeffries Simulation Theory will guide the discussion related to designing, conducting, and debriefing a simulation-based activity.

Dates:  The four hour in-service will be presented at four locations on different dates for your convenience. Please select the in-service date that meets your needs. RSVP to by March 1, 2017.

3/8/17 Location: The F. Marie Hall SimLife Center (Lubbock, TX)
3/10/17 Location: TBA (Austin, TX)
3/13/17 Location: The TTUHSC Simulation Center (Abilene, TX)
3/15/17 Location: The Louise and Clay Wood TTUHSC Simulation Center (Odessa, TX)

All in-services will be from 11 AM—3 PM with a working lunch (Lunch will be provided)

Cost TTUHSC Faculty free - other guests $25.00 to cover lunch.
