School of Medicine Scholarship Information
General Scholarship Application
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine offers competitive scholarships to qualified medical students. The Scholarship Committee meets semi-annually to award scholarships to deserving students.
To receive a scholarship, a student must remain in good academic standing for the entire academic year. A student must also submit the thank you letter and the acceptance form as described in the scholarship notification. All scholarships are a one-time scholarship award and are based on the availability of funds.
To renew a scholarship or to be considered for a scholarship, students must submit an application annually by April 30th and submit a FAFSA application to Financial Aid to be considered. Applications must be submitted to the TTUHSC School of Medicine Office of Admissions in Lubbock at the address below or Amarillo or Odessa if assigned to that campus. Late application deadline is October 1st and will be considered on a first come, first served basis dependent on any unclaimed scholarships and cannot be guaranteed.

Diversity Elective Rotations
University of California Davis Visiting Clerkship Program
The University of California Davis is sponsoring a subsidized 4th year Visiting Clerkship Program.
This Visiting Clerkship Program is an excellent opportunity to:
- Get a first-hand look at University of California, Davis Residency Programs
- Get a first-hand look at the Sacramento community
- Receive Financial assistance towards travel expenses, food and housing
- Interact with LMSA and SMNA medical students and house staff
The American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Diversity Grants
The American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Diversity Committee would like to help introduce medical students from under-represented minorities (URM) to the field of otolaryngology. Two grant winners will be selected. The winners will select a program from the list of participating programs to apply for an away rotation. They will receive $1000 to use towards travel, housing or food during their away rotation. They will need to submit receipts in order to receive their reimbursement.
