Selection Process:

The selection process at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center begins only when the application is complete. Applicants are responsible for ascertaining that their application has been completed and all the necessary materials received by the department.

After your application and documents have been received they will be screened by the department review committee and if indicated you will be notified about arrangements for an interview.  The list below will provide an idea of the type of information that will be requested.  If you have additional questions about the application process, please contact our office at (806) 743-2981 x 260 or click here to e-mail the Pain Management Fellowship Coordinator. 

Application requirements:

*Please note that the items below must be in your file before it will be reviewed by the TTUHSC Pain Management Fellowship Selection Committee. Once your file is complete, it will be reviewed by the Committee and you will be notified if an interview is granted. Please note that the candidate is responsible for completing the file.

Dean's Letter
ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
Notarized or Certified Copy of Diploma
Medical School Transcript(s)
Certificate(s) of Previous Training
USMLE Scores

Application Deadline

We are no longer accepting applications for the July 2009 and January 2010 fellowship positions. We will begin accepting applications for the July 2010 and January 2011 fellowship positions starting February 1, 2009.

Interview Dates

To be determined by the Program Director.

Position Availability

We accept 3 fellows in July and 2 fellows in January for a total of 5 fellows per year.

International Medical Graduate Requirements:

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine has adopted a policy of accepting only international medical graduates with J-1 visas into the residency training programs.
