Upon the completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
  • Recognize the pathophysiology of breast cancer and differentiate between types of breast cancer and their clinical presentation
  • Explain the current treatment and prognosis of breast cancer based on NCCN staging
  • Analyze the implications of how chemotherapy can impact anesthetic choice and what impact the anesthetic plan
  • might have on the recurrence of and possibly on the prognosis of breast cancer in their patients
