Upon the completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
  • Evaluate the significance of even "minor" declines in renal function in the hospital setting
  • Describe the importance of absolute GFR as well as "delta" GFR
  • Convey the usefullness of calculating eGFR and the limits of the calculations
  • Consider using data base approaches to analyzing outcomes
  • Implement the use of EHR as a research tool
