Upon the completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
  • Discuss systemic treatment of herpes zoster and its ocular complications
  • Differentiate between arteritic and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AION), how each type relates to systemic health risks and current treatmen protocols (both systemic and ophthalmic
  • Explain the underlying systemic causes of retinal vein occlusions in the eye and apply management techniques for these patients to reduce systemic health risks and vision loss
