Upon the completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
  • Use current standards of care for management of esophageal trauma
  • Discuss innovations in endoscopic self-expanding metallic stents for the treatment of esophageal trauma and spontaneous rupture
  • Introduce the OVEDCO clip system for repair of iatrogenic and traumatic esophageal injury
  • Explain furture directions for treatment of esophageal trauma being developed in Europe and Asia
