Upon the completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
  • Discuss Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and how related disorders affect 1% of the population and recognize their lessons for personalized medicine and genetic testing.
  • Identify the symptoms of connective tissue dysplasias as they affect the skeletal, cutaneous, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neurologic and gynecologic systems.
  • Apply preventive health care recommendations for connective tissue dysplasias that range form medical investigation to hydration, diet and exercise strategies.
