Upon the completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
  • Describe the process of ethical decision-making
  • Discuss the ways that cultural values and beliefs may influence ethical decisions at the end-of-life
  • Describe ethical and legal issues in hospice and palliative medicine and end-of-life care
  • Anticipate common ethical and legal issues that arise in the context of end-of-life medical care
  • Learn models for the ethical decision making process
