Upon the completion of this activity the participant should be able to:
  • Describe the Oslerian principals of humanistic medical care and the practical application of ethical reasoning skills in the clinical setting.
  • Discuss the importance of compassionate care in addition and recovery from substance abuse disorders related to the practice of medicine.
  • Apply the integration of ethics, humanities and spirituality into the treatment of substance abuse disorders.
  • Effectively use knowledge, attitudes, and ethical analysis skills to enhance decision-making skills.
