Continuing Medical Education

Mission Statement

The Office of Continuing Medical Education (CME) exists to serve the continuing medical education needs of practicing physicians. These include faculty and community physicians regionally, nationally, and internationally.

The scope of CME activities will encompass primarily clinical subject matter, with emphasis on research, medical education and patient care. Coverage of these areas will be accomplished by live activities, regularly scheduled series (RSS) and enduring materials.

The Office of CME will evaluate and assess the outcomes of the CME program by reviewing the changes in competence, and for selected activities changes in performance, of the physician target audience by various appropriate mechanisms.
