The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine will start a three year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in July 2011. Clinical rotations will meet the requirements for dual certification. The program will emphasize scholarly activity based on clinical projects. The program will recruit one or two fellows per year depending on funding resources.

About Us: Pulmonary Medicine

Pulmonary Medicine is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the respiratory system. These can included asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, COPD, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, pulmonary emboli, and sleep disorders.

At Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment plan for all types of Pulmonary diseases. We provide diagnostic procedures and interpret pulmonary function tests, exercise tests, and polysomnography.

Physicians in this division also have additional training in critical care, sleep disorders, and certification in Palliative medicine. We are also experienced in diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.
