Robert Casanova, M.D. is an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. He
is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the
American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After completing his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, Dr. Casanova set up a
private practice in Austin, Texas. After 20 years in Austin, Dr. Casanova joined the
Texas Tech faculty in 2007 to pursue his desire to teach.
Dr. Casanova is married and has four children. His hobbies include traveling, singing,
gardening, and running. He enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology and thrives
on the variety. He enjoys the opportunity to gain knowledge from each patient encounter.
