Robert Casanova, M.D. is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Casanova graduated with high honors from Tulane University in New Orleans and subsequently received his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at John Peter Smith in Fort Worth prior to setting up his private practice in Austin, TX. After 20 years in Austin, Dr. Casanova joined the Texas Tech faculty in 2007 to pursue his desire to teach.
Dr. Casanova is married and has four children. His hobbies include traveling, singing, gardening, and running. He enjoys all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology and thrives on the variety. He enjoys the opportunity to gain knowledge from each patient encounter.
