Cornelia De Riese , MD

Cornelia deRiese, M.D., Ph.D, is Board Certified by the German and American Boards of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.

Dr. deRiese completed medical school and her residency at Hannover Medical School in Hannover, Germany. She then completed a second residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia South Carolina. Her areas of special interest include breast disease, infections, adolescent and pediatric gynecology, perimenopause, hormone replacement, colposcopy, polycystic ovary syndrome and obesity, as well as services for the handicapped.  One other area of her expertise is pelvic ultrasound, pelvic prolapse and incontinence surgery.

Dr. deRiese is married to Dr. Werner deRiese, who is a urologist associated with  Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Surgery Department.  They have lived in Lubbock since 1996, and the youngest of their four children still lives at home.
