Edward Yeomans, M.D. is the Department Chair for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He has just recently joined the program in August of 2008. Dr. Yeomans is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also a Fellow of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Yeomans' most recent academic appointment was with the University Of Texas Medical School at Houston where he had been since 1995.
Dr. Yeomans graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Louis University with a degree in Meteorology. He went on to pursue a medical degree from Ceighton University School of Medicine where he graduated in 1980. He then completed his residency in Ob/Gyn at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in Lackland Air Force base before completing a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Yeomans and his wife Thuy have three grown children. He enjoys cycling, running, and chess. Dr. Yeomans believes that being a physician is a privilege and a responsibility.
