Health/Dental Insurance
The individual monthly premium for the group hospitalization coverage is furnished by TTUHSC. Coverage for dependents is available at the Housestaff Officer's expense. A $5,000 term life insurance policy and $5,000 accidental death and dismemberment coverage is included in the insurance plan.
Professional Liability Insurance
Coverage for Housestaff Officer is at the level of $100,000-$300,000 while participating in TTUHSC sponsored training activities. This insurance covers any activity which is part of Appointee's training program.
Long-Term Disability-
Is provided by TTUHSC for all residents and their eligible dependents.

-5 Lab Coats, Laundered
-Use of PDA
-On-call meal allowance-$80/month (roll over every month)
-Tuition for USMLE
-Meeting Expenses- for meetings where resident is presenting the abstract and has written the manuscript in journal format. Resident awarded Best Teacher by medical students is sent to the National ACOG Meeting held in May.
-Chief residents course TMA on practice development.
-Resident office area is equipped with computer accessible to the internet and database programs.
Yearly Textbook Allowance
PGY1-3 Books selected by the Program Director and Chair.
PGY2 - Choice of one book from selected book list.
PGY3 - Choice of one book from selected book list.
PGY4- Choice of one book from selected book list. If the resident has a copy of all the books on the book list then they may request a specific book not to exceed the amount of $150.00 but it must be approved by the Program Director.
