The Texas Tech Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is a educational department within the Texas Tech University School of Medicine that provides patient care and physician training in affiliation with the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. 

Patient Care

There are several specialty clinics available that allow expert orthopaedists to evaluate and treat a variety of orthopaedic injuries.  Specialty clinics include: The Adult Reconstruction Clinic that treats patients that are candidates for joint replacement; The Sports Medicine Clinic that treats patients with sports related injuries; The Hand Clinic that treats all injuries up to and including the elbow; and the Children's Orthopaedic Clinic that provides treatment for children that includes neuromuscular disorders, clubfoot, hand, congenital and developmental hip disorders, scoliosis, spina bifida, pediatric trauma, fractures and a variety of other orthopaedic conditions.

Graduate Medical Education

The department offers a residency training program in orthopaedic surgery that is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).  In addition, for physicians that have already completed an orthopaedic surgery residency, the department offers a fellowship in sports medicine
