US Mail and Courier Services: Robert Schutt, Jr., M.D. Biography: Dr. Schutt is the Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas.Dr. Schutt graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1969. He completed a distinguished military career in which he flew combat missions as an F-4E pilot during the Viet Nam conflict. He then entered Texas Tech Medical School and graduated in 1977 with academic honors and an induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. His Orthopaedic Residency was completed in 1982 at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado. During Operation Desert Storm, he returned to active duty and served as an Army Orthopaedic Surgeon working in an Evacuation Hospital in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Schutt is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is currently certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been a participant and leader of a number of committees and professional organizations throughout his career. Dr. Schutt demonstrates a strong commitment to medical education and clinical service. After 21 years of private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dr. Schutt moved to Lubbock, Texas in 2003 to assume the position of Director of the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedics.
