Orthopaedic Surgery Associates

Description: Orthopaedic Surgery Associates provide quality medical care for a variety of Orthopaedic conditions through three specialized centers. The Regional Hand Center treats problems with the hand and arm, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Micro vascular surgery procedures are also offered. The SportMed Center handles sports-related injuries, such as shoulder, elbow and knee problems, as well as arthroscopic surgery. The Arthritis and Joint Implant Center provides adult reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee joints, as well as treatment for other arthritis-related conditions. On-site therapy and x-ray services are also provided to better assist patients.

Description: The Department of Orthopedics Adult Reconstruction Clinic treats patients who are candidates for total knee and total hip replacement. Primarily lower extremity joints are treated.
Sports Medicine Clinic

Description: The Department of Orthopedics Sports Medicine Clinic treats sports related injury. The Clinic also treats athletes and monitors their recovery and progress from an injury.
Hand Clinic

Description: The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hand Clinic treats all hand and arm injuries up to and including the elbow.
Trauma Clinic
Hours: Available 24 hours/day

Description: The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Trauma Service treats injuries that result from traumatic events, such as motor vehicle accidents, industrial accidents and other extreme disasters. University Medical Center is a Level One Trauma Center. The Trauma Service is led by Dr. Eugene Dabezies, with all faculty participating.
Childrens Orthopaedics
Hours: Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.; Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Description: The Children's Orthopaedic Center provides quality care for children's orthopaedic problems, including neuromuscular disorders, clubfoot, hand, congenital and developmental hip disorders, scoliosis, spina bifida, pediatric trauma, fractures and other disorders. A team of Orthopaedic physicians, therapists and social workers are involved in the care of each patient. On-site therapy and radiology are also available.
Foot and Ankle
