Resident Program

The residency program in orthopaedic surgery is a 5 year program. It consists of a rotating orthopaedic internship year and four years of training in orthopedic surgery with a rotating internship year, and is offered for qualified applicants.

Three residents are accepted each year for a program totaling fifteen residents. The integrated program in general orthopaedics consists of rotations in Hand, Sports Medicine, Joint Replacement, Trauma, Spine and Children's Orthopedics and Foot & Ankle.

Department research is ongoing and opportunities for individual research are available and strongly encouraged.

The residency program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. The FRIEDA Online program information can be found here.
