Hello, I am Phaneendra Kumar Duddempudi. I am a 2nd year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Dr. Michael P. Blanton's lab in the department of Pharmacology and Neuroscience. I did my Bachelor's in Pharmacy from Kakatiya University, India. I am currently working on a collaboration project between Dr. Jansen and Dr. Blanton. My work in this lab deals with the expression of 5HT3A receptor protein in a cell-free expression system. Since micro to milligrams of membrane receptor protein is required for structural studies, we are trying to develop a cell-free expression system, which usually yields milligram quantities of the protein using commercially available kits. |

Hello, I am Raman Goyal, Medical Research Assistant in Dr Jansen’s laboratory. I have a Masters in Biotechnology from Georgetown University, Washington DC, and a Post Graduate diploma in Industrial Biotechnology from Annamalai University, India. I did Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from Delhi University, India. I have worked as an intern in the Marketing and Business Development division of Promogen Inc., Maryland where I assisted in the development of the company’s commercialization strategy and the redesign of the company’s website. Having prior experience in Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Cell Culture helps me in the current projects that I am working on in this lab. Working in Dr Jansen’s lab has been a great platform to gain valuable research experience. |
