Office Of Student Affairs
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine Office of Student Affairs encompasses a wide variety of services and activities and touches the life of every medical student from before entry into medical school to graduation and beyond. The Office serves as a liaison between the student body and the faculty and administration of the school. The staff is committed to creating a supportive environment for the person and professional development of each student.
Students are confronted with many new situations, responsibilities, and stresses of medical school, and the Office of Student Affairs works closely with the students to help them successfully meet these challenges. While students are responsible for meeting the requirements of medical school, the Student Affairs staff is responsible for providing the necessary information, guidance, and support along the way.
We enjoy getting to know each student and hope that our efforts have played a role in their successful completion of medical school. The staff is available by email, by telephone, and in person to answer questions, provide services, and address concerns.
For convenience, the Office of Student Affairs is staffed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our main office is located in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Room 2B131.
Graduation for the class of 2014 will take place on May 22nd at 10:30 a.m. at the City Bank auditorium. A reception at the Frazier Alumni Center will follow.
