Stipends
The stipends for interns and residents at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center are consistent with other medical centers in the Southwest and may undergo increased adjustments each year as appropriate. There are increments for each additional year of approved training.
Year 2010-11 stipends:
- PGY1: 43,742.58
- PGY2: 45,170.01
- PGY3: 46,596.39
- PGY4: 48,021.74
- PGY5: 49,447.09
Medical and Dental Insurance
Medical insurance is provided for graduate trainees and their dependents include major medical and special hospital allowances, which provide additional coverage for maternity and outpatient care. Dental insurance is available for graduate trainees and their eligible dependents.
Other Benefits
Malpractice, disability, and life insurance are provided for graduate trainees along with on call meal tickets, Lab coats, and laundry service.
