Graduate Department APRN Program
The Post-Masters Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Certificate program prepares graduates to provide culturally sensitive, comprehensive care for adults with common episodic and chronic health problems managed across the continuum of acute care centers. The AGACNP assumes responsibility for promoting, maintaining, and restoring health to adults who are chronically, acutely or critically ill. The AGACNP is an online track that requires occasional travel to the Lubbock campus.
Upon completion of course requirements, graduates of the Masters and Post Masters Programs are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam.
