CINE Mission & Strategic Plan

Mission Statement
The Center's mission is to provide leadership in uniting efforts across health care, education, and public sectors to address nursing workforce challenges by creating innovative new approaches to education.
Strategic Plan
Continue collaborations with partners in business, community colleges and health care delivery systems to address the nursing shortage in Central and West Texas.
Engage faculty and administration in activities for the purposes of increasing evidence based practice dissemination and evidence based teaching strategies.
Support models (prototypes) that operationally demonstrate how innovation in nursing education can more efficiently and effectively meet the needs of our health care system.
Assist individuals to enter the nursing profession and migrate up a career ladder.
Collaboration with workforce boards to develop not just more RNs, but RNs of the right educational and skill mix to handle the complex demands of the practice world today.
