Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Full-Time Faculty Position
The Department for Nurse Practitioner Studies, Perry School of Nursing Graduate Program, announces a search for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our outstanding faculty.
The Perry School of Nursing has innovative baccalaureate, masters and doctoral programs. The Department for Nurse Practitioner Studies offers specialty preparation for nurse practitioners in acute care, family, gerontology/geriatrics, and pediatrics. Faculty have opportunities in teaching, practice, and research.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing with national certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field preferred
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
- At least two years of clinical experience as an ACNP
- Teaching experience preferred
Areas of Responsibility:
- Teach graduate students
- Leadership for ACNP program development, curriculum, and clinical resources
- Participate as faculty member in activities of the Department for NP Studies
- Engage in professional activities at local, state, and national levels

Traditional Undergraduate BSN Full-Time Faculty Position
The Perry School of Nursing is expanding its Traditional Undergraduate BSN Program to Abilene, Odessa, and El Paso. With distinction as achieving the highest graduation rate in Texas, the Traditional Undergraduate Program contributes this success to providing personal interactions and retention counseling with students, fostering creative teaching methods and innovation, and assessing student outcomes using simulation. If you are excited about the challenge of producing highly competent nurses for West Texas in an innovative environment, please apply for a position.
Applications are currently being accepted for positions in Abilene, Odessa and El Paso. Faculty hired for these positions will need to be located in or around one of these areas or be willing to relocate.
