Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Anita Thigpen Perry School of Nursing
Welcome to the Anita Thigpen Perry School of Nursing. Our goal is to provide the education you need for an advanced nursing career in academic leadership, professional nursing organizations, health service systems and other health-related enterprises.
Our Graduate Programs are recognized for innovative approaches to nursing education at master’s, post-master’s and doctoral levels. This combined with our values of professionalism, integrity and quality have allowed us to create lifelong learning opportunities for the nursing professional.
We offer specialized nursing preparation at the master’s level in administration, education, and practitioner roles. Our Nurse Practitioner Program, offered at our El Paso, Highland Lakes, Lubbock and Permian Basin campuses, focuses on practice specialization in family, acute care, geriatric and pediatrics.
At the doctoral level, we are extremely proud to offer the only Doctorate of Nursing Practice program in which advanced nurse practitioners can select from two tracks of study that will prepare them for complex practice and executive leadership roles or clinical faculty positions in nursing schools. Our students can also participate in a collaborative Ph.D. in Nursing program with Texas Woman’s University.
