Welcome! Our goal is to provide the education you need for an advanced nursing career in clinical practice, academic leadership or health systems leadership. Our Graduate Departments are recognized for innovative approaches to nursing education at master's, post-master's and doctoral levels. Innovation combined with our values of professionalism, integrity and quality have allowed us to create lifelong learning opportunities for the nursing professional.
We offer specialized nursing preparation at the master's level in administration, education, informatics and advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) roles with population focus practice tracks in nurse midwifery, family, adult gerontology acute care, pediatric acute care and pediatrics. The master's program is offered online with preceptor-guided clinical learning experiences available in or near the student's home community. A post-master's certificate is offered for the APRN tracks.
At the doctoral level, we are extremely proud to offer the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Students have the opportunity to select one of two tracks, the advanced nurse practitioner track preparation for complex practice and the executive leadership track for advanced health systems leadership preparation.
We believe you'll find the School of Nursing to be one of the most productive and innovative learning and caring communities in the state.
Graduate coordinators in the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs are available to answer your questions about educational options and respond to requests for additional information.
