General education requirements for a BSN at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing consist of the following, many of which you probably have from your diploma or associate degree program. These courses must be completed before entering the BSN program.

+Statistics is required as a nursing prerequisite. Students who take math statistics will simultaneously meet the requirements for the nursing prerequisite and the core curriculum. Students, who take any other statistics course as the nursing prerequisite, must also take an upper level mathematics course in order to meet the core curriculum requirement
Courses provided from other institutions with equivalent course content are acceptable for transfer credit if a "C" or better was earned. NOTE: Pass/Fail courses are not acceptable for transfer. Maximum credits allowed for CLEP or correspondence courses are 15 each.
