RN to BSN Undergraduate Program
Although the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is part of the Texas Tech University System, legally it is a separate institution from Texas Tech University. Therefore, students applying to the TTUHSC School of Nursing RN-BSN program must apply directly to the School of Nursing via the Nursing Centralized Application Service (NCAS) and TTUHSC Merlin supplemental application.
Summer 2013 Application is now open — deadline is March 15, 2013.
RN-BSN Application Cycle — EFFECTIVE Fall 2013
Admission is on a rolling basis and is divided into the Admission Review Periods as outlined below.
To be reviewed for a particular periods, all application materials must be submitted and complete by the indicated date.
All students who meet the required deadline for the review period will have the same chance of being offered admission to the program regardless of whether the application was received at the beginning or end of the review period.
You need to have all prerequisites completed or proof of enrollment provided in order to receive an offer of admission. All prerequisites must be completed and proof sent to Coordinator prior to the first day of class.

An admission decision can fall into one of the categories below:
- Offered admission
- Offered admission with contingent for coursework needed
- Offered admission with provisional NCLEX needed
- Denied admission
Once you have submitted your application, official transcripts must be mailed to NursingCAS directly from the college or university along with the transcript matching form located within your NursingCAS application.
Please have your transcripts available to enter all your prerequisites and nursing courses in the Education section of the NursingCAS application. These grades will be audited for accuracy after you have submitted your application.

Applicants interested in applying for financial aid (student loans, grants, scholarships) upon admittance to the School of Nursing must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. The School of Nursing requires a FAFSA on file to be eligible for scholarships offered by the school.
