| Bio | Dr. Newsom is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She completed all her educational requirements at the University of Mississippi: a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; a Master's degree in Health Care Administration; and a Doctorate in Pharmacy Administration. Dr. Newsom teaches the Pharmacy Law Class and the Community Operations Class. She also contributes to the Pharmaceutical Systems Class. Dr. Newsom is a licensed pharmacist in Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. Her practice experience includes: pediatric hematology/oncology, home infusion and student health. She practices in a community setting and enjoys working with students in this environment. She is a pharmacist immunizer and a preceptor. When not working, Dr. Newsom enjoys snow skiing, tennis and travel. She lives in Amarillo, Texas, with her husband and two children. |
