MISSION STATEMENT OF THE TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER
The mission of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is to provide excellence in the education of health care professionals to serve the West Texas region, the state of Texas, and the nation through innovations in technology, research, and patient care. The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center fulfills its higher education mission by achieving four strategic goals:
- Develop professionals today to meet the health challenges of tomorrow
- Demonstrate excellence in serving targeted healthcare needs
- Pursue new knowledge in the life sciences and apply research to improve health outcomes
- Optimize organizational effectiveness and efficiencies

Our mission is to enhance the lives of the citizens of Texas, the nation and the world through the education and training of entry-level and advanced practitioners, researchers and educators, the continued development of practicing professionals, and the advancement of pharmacy scholarship and scientific research.
