The Office of the Amarillo Regional Dean welcomes you to the School of Pharmacy. In 1996, the TTUHSC SOP opened its doors to its first class of Pharm.D. students. Since that day, the School has continued to grow in every way. Just a year after starting classes, the Graduate Pharmacy Education Residency program was implemented. In 1999, the Graduate Program of Pharmaceutical Sciences welcomed its first class of PhD Graduate Students to Amarillo. With the continual development of our curriculum, we have expanded with campuses in Abilene, Dallas, and Lubbock, but Amarillo remains the core campus.

The Amarillo campus has shown considerable growth in recent years. We currently have >20 Science Faculty and >20 Pharmacy Practice Faculty here on site to administer curriculum as well as clinical rotations. In the summer of 2009, several Science Faculty from the SOP were relocated to the Amarillo Research Building, a state-of-the-art research facility. This building is designed to give faculty greater opportunity to collaborate. The most current addition to the Amarillo campus is the Pharmacy Academic Center where students have the newest technological advantages incorporated their learning experience.

Our program has a group of people with a ‘can do’ attitude; because of this, we are continually bettering our curriculum, programs, and campus.
