Half-Way There! Adopt A White Coat Today!

Adopt a White CoatDear Alumni Friend:

We are seeking your support of an important project: the White Coat Ceremonies.

The SOP Alumni Association Board has decided to launch an "Adopt a White Coat" initiative in conjunction with the School of Pharmacy. This initiative ultimately aims to provide every incoming pharmacy student with a white coat. Thus, we are asking each of you to support our future students by sponsoring a white coat today.

We all have experienced the excitement of putting on our white coat for the very first time, the nervousness of walking into an unfamiliar environment on our first day of class, and the countless hours of lectures, exams, and training. We also know that the White Coat Ceremony emphasizes the importance of the passage from pre-clinical studies to becoming a proficient pharmacist who is caring and compassionate. The event also emphasizes the importance of the mission of the School: to enhance the lives of the diverse people of Texas and beyond through excellence and innovation in educating health care practitioners, researchers, and educators; and providing pharmaceutical care and service.

Please join us in adopting a White Coat today! The cost to adopt one coat per student is $50. Of course, any size gift is welcomed and multiple coats may be adopted.

To donate, please visit and select "Give Online." Then select the School of Pharmacy Fund for Excellence for your donation.

You may also send a check payable to the Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. to "Adopt a White Coat" at TTUHSC School of Pharmacy, 5920 Forest Park Road, Suite 400, Dallas, TX 75235.

Thank you again for considering this request. Your generosity will create a legacy of support for generations to come!
