| Bio | Dr. Brouse is one of the founding faculty members of the Texas Tech University HSC School of Pharmacy Dallas Campus. She precepts the cardiology & critical care clerkships for pharmacy students and residents at the North Texas Veterans Administration Medical Center and teaches within the nutrition, drug review, case studies, and grand rounds courses at the school. Dr. Brouse is also the program director for the critical care specialty residency affiliated with both institutions. She received her Pharm.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed a pharmacy practice & critical care specialty residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Dr. Brouse became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2000. |

Research Interests:
Research Interests: Dr. Brouse’s research interests include drug therapy utilization in decompensated congestive heart failure, and optimal use of sedation and analgesia in critically ill patients.
Practice Focus: Dr. Brouse’s clinical practice is based at the North Texas Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She is a clinical pharmacy specialist for both the Medicine ICU and Cardiology ICU teams. The intensive care units are central referral centers for other VA and community medical centers in the North Texas region. The North Texas VA is a major teaching and research site affiliated with the UT Southwestern Medical School.
Professional Service: Dr. Brouse is very active within the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). She has been invited several times to give talks on both critical care and cardiology-related subjects at national meetings, including the Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialty Preparatory Course. She is also past-President of the local DFW chapter of ACCP.
