| Bio | Dr. Parker is an Assistant Professor, Pediatrics Division in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacist for Pedi Providers Special Needs Clinic in the Department of Pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. He is responsible for teaching didactic lectures, case-based learning, and is a clerkship preceptor. His clinical practice involves providing direct patient care in the out-patient setting. Dr. Parker works in a collaborative practice with physicians and other healthcare professionals with a focus in the management of diabetes in children. He received his Pharm.D. from TTUHSC School of Pharmacy. He completed an ASHP accredited Pediatric Specialty Residency at TTUHSC School of Pharmacy. He received his Bachelor of Sciences in Chemistry from the University of North Texas. |

Research Interests:
Dr. Parker's current projects include an NIH study looking at pediatric formulations used in research, assessment of current management and protocol recommendations for Type 1 diabetes mellitus in pediatrics, and development of diabetes camp programs.
Dr. Parker's professional interests include pediatric care and chronic disease state management with an emphasis in diabetes.
