Bio Nina Blakeman completed her Associate Degree in Nursing with Honors from Amarillo College in 1988. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from WTAMU, Canyon, TX in 1996 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Magna Cum Laude, from Regis University, Denver, CO in 2004. Her employment background as a registered nurse includes being owner and administrator of Cambridge Home Care, Dalhart, TX; head nurse at the Acute and Chronic Spine Center, Amarillo, TX; and Cardiac Catheterization Lab Director of the Cardiology Center of Amarillo.
Nina transferred from WTAMU to the Department of Biomedical Sciences at TTUHSC as a PhD student with the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences in August 2009. At present she is working in Dr. Margaret Weis’ laboratory.

Research Interests:

Nina has chosen to pursue her PhD because of her special interest in cell and molecular studies.
