| Bio | Misha Patel, Pharm.D. is currently a Pharmacy Practice Resident at the Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System & TTUHSC School of Pharmacy. She is originally from Nashville, TN; she received her B.S. in biology from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Union University School of Pharmacy in Jackson, TN, which she completed in May 2012. Dr. Patel is appointed as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at TTUHSC School of Pharmacy and precepts pharmacy students in their 3rd and 4th professional year. Her professional interests include ambulatory care and internal medicine. The focus of her major research project is to assess the effects of niacin on hemoglobin A1c and glycemic control and its clinical use in therapy. She is currently a member of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). During her free time Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, watching movies, trying new restaurants, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband Rikesh, family, and friends. |
