| Bio | Heather Wild is originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated in May 2009 with her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Creighton University. She is currently a Pharmacy Practice Resident at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Pharmacy and Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Her professional interests include pediatrics, oncology, infectious disease, and critical care. Dr. Wild is appointed as an Assistant Instructor at TTUHSC School of Pharmacy and is currently working with second year pharmacy students in the Parenterals course. She will also precept pharmacy students in their third professional year in the spring. Her residency project involves investigating the accuracy of methods presently used to detect vancomycin minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values for methacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) at Hendrick Medical Center. Dr. Wild is currently a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Pharmacists Association. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. |
