| Bio | Kristen Hesch, Pharm.D., BCPS, is an Assistant Professor at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy on the Dallas/Fort Worth campus. Her primary practice site is serving as an Advanced Practice Clinical Pharmacist in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Cardiology medical teaching services at the Veterans Affairs North Texas Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Texas at Austin in cooperation with the University of Texas Health Sciences Centers in San Antonio in May of 2006. Dr. Hesch has since completed both an ASHP Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency followed by an ASHP Accredited PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Practice Specialty Residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She also became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2008. Dr. Hesch is an active member of Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Cardiology, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and American Society of Health System Pharmacists. Additionally, she is active in the state chapter of the Texas Society of Health System Pharmacists, DFW chapter of ACCP and the Texas SCCM chapter affiliates. She currently serves on the Membership Committee of the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section of SCCM. She has participated in TSHP’s Annual Seminar to coordinate educational track and serve as a presenter in critical care topics. Dr. Hesch’s practice interests include sedation and delirium in ICU patients, advanced cardiac life support and precepting students and residents |
