DEPARTMENTAL
Pharmacy Practice
- Pharmacy Practice Management/Leadership Team
- The Pharmacy Practice Management/Leadership Team will be made up of the following: the Chair, the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, and the Assistant Dean for Patient Care Services
- Pharmacy Practice Advisory Team
- This team shall be made up by the members of the Pharmacy Practice Management/Leadership Team and the service chiefs.
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
Standing Faculty Committees
All committees:
- Members appointed considering department membership, but are to represent the total School faculty. Equal representation from each department, regardless of number of faculty members.
- Develop policy and provide recommendations on:
- Student qualifications and standards for admission into the professional and graduate programs, and for progressions in either curriculum.
- The requirements and standards for graduation from the professional and graduate programs.
- The requirements and standards for faculty professional development, including academic promotion and the achievement of tenure.
- Except for Faculty Affairs Committee, membership appointed by the dean from nominations by the Executive Committee.
- Faculty members (not administrators) may serve on only one standing committee at a time, except where a department does not have sufficient members or where a faculty member is elected to the Faculty Affairs Committee.
- Except for the Executive Committee, the dean appoints the chair. One of the Assistant/Associate deans serve as Secretary. The committee elects their vice chairs.
- Membership on any committee shall not be for more than two years, except in initially establishing the committees. Retiring members may be reappointed after a one year lapse.
- Committee appointed no later than April 15, begin service by May 1.
- Standing committees must take minutes and distribute to all faculty members.
Faculty Affairs
- Elected by faculty
- Three members from each Department.
- Two students added (with 0.5 vote each) when functioning as peer review committee.
- Neither dean nor chairs can be elected.
- Initial election - 2 members from Pharmaceutical Sciences for three years,1 member from Pharmacy Practice for three years; 1 member from Pharmaceutical Sciences for two years, 2 members from Pharmacy Practice for 2 years. Thereafter, all elections are two years. All students serve one year.
- Elect own officers.

Candidate Affairs
- Assistant Dean for Student Affairs serves as secretary
- Assistant Dean for Minority Affairs serves as member
- Six members from each department, two student members appointed by the Pharmacy Student Senate, two practicing pharmacists who are not paid faculty members

Candidate Assessment of Learning
- Assistant Dean for Student Assessment of Learning serves as secretary
- Chairs of the two departments serve as members
- Two members from each department and two students nominated by the Pharmacy Student Senate
- Committee chair and vice chair from faculty members

Curricular Affairs
- Associate Dean for Curricular Affairs serves as secretary
- Two members from Pharmaceutical Sciences and two members from Pharmacy Practice and two students nominated by the Pharmacy Student Senate

Hearing
- Three members appointed by dean
- Three members elected by faculty
- Chairperson chosen by mutual agreement between concerned faculty member and the dean, selected from faculty in one of the other schools
- All members must be tenured
