Abilene city officials, community leaders and HSC's School of Pharmacy celebrated the state's approval of expansion of the four-year pharmacy program into Abilene, TX. The 36,000 square-foot building is expected to open fall of 2007. Nearly $15 million in public and private money has been raised for the project.

As a show of appreciation for their dedication to bringing the pharmacy school to Abilene, President Wilson and Dean Nelson were recognized as Honorary Citizens of Abilene during the reception.
