Admissions and Programs
Teaching/Research assistantships are provided on a competitive basis depending upon
availability. Currently, an annual stipend of $16,000 is offered. The students will
have to pay the in-state tuition of $40 per semester credit hour. Usually, new students
register for 10 credit hours in their first semester. If they are international students,
they pay a total fee (including tuition) of approximately $1000 at the time of registration.
For a detailed information on fee, please refer to the TTUHSC Graduate Catalog. If
you wish to be considered for an assistantship, write a letter to the Director of
Graduate Program stating your interest and mail it along with the application form
to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Lubbock. The assistantships are awarded
to students who are willing to assume responsibility for teaching labs, grading papers,
and/or performing research with a member of the faculty in a laboratory.
